About Us

 

Founded in 1968 by Eddie Wilson of New Frontier QH Stud Bendemeer, NSW, the original members included brothers Eddie & Con Wilson, John Lysaght and John Stanton. The AQHA was formed in 1964 with Peter Bailieu being

elected as president.  In 1972 the Association was incorporated and proudly the NEQHA became the first affiliate.

Our Mission

 

Our mission is to promote interest and growth, and to develop positive

participation in Western Horse activities, in co-operation with the AQHA.

We provide clinics for halter and performance horse education

for all breeds, in an encouraging environment, aimed at building

confidence in both horse and rider/handler,

in helping them to prepare for shows.

Our shows, allow us the opportunity to reward competitors

for their training efforts, creating meaningful experiences

and inspiration for our valued members.
